Established in 1998, Century Healthcare is one of the leading providers of care for older people in the North West of England. We offer long term, short term and respite care across our homes supporting people with general residential needs, nursing needs, and dementia needs. 

 

Century Healthcare recognises that staff training and development is paramount in providing safe and effective care, and in order to meet the challenges, we face to continue to deliver excellent care we have a staff development programme, starting with vocational qualifications moving to Care home Assistant practitioners and ultimately being sponsored to complete registered nurse training.  

 

Our Care Home Assistant Practitioners work alongside their nursing colleagues and take on additional responsibilities this offers a more extensive clinical career structure so that there are opportunities for practitioners to move up the hierarchy without having to become managers.

The benefit to our residents is familiarity and continuity of staff, who co-ordinate and deliver excellent quality care that is tailored to the individual.

Nurses are supported to meet revalidation requirements through research and development opportunities. 

Our residents told us that mealtime experience is very important to them, therefore we employ qualified chefs who prepare a wide range of home cooked food using fresh local produce. 

Menus are tailored to our residents’ preferences, and we always offer a variety of daily alternatives. 

 

We want all our residents to live the best life possible and this includes continuing to enjoy or discovering new activities. We have activity staff at all our homes who will organise activities to meet individual needs and preferences as well as group activities such as outings and visits to areas of interest.
